wi-tribe’s first operation and the "baby" of the tribe.

In 2005, wi-tribe first bid for the WiMAX licence in Jordan, and in April 2007 wi-tribe won it. From that moment, wi-tribe concentrated all its efforts, with the help and knowledge of its investors and partners, to create a start-up company based in Amman that will foresee the launch of wi-tribe’s first operation.

wi-tribe went live in West Amman in 2008, and within the next six months, phase two of our Jordan operation was launched when five more cities were covered including East Amman, Irbid and Zarqa. In the course of one year by the mid of 2009, wi-tribe Jordan was able to position itself as one of the top three broadband players in the Hashemite Kingdom.
