Dr. Sami brings a wealth of experience spanning the full cycle of the telecommunications industry from the technical arena to the business development sector. His career kicked off back in 1987 at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California where he worked for about 9 years; starting off as an engineer and completing his enduring career at NASA as a Telecommunications Program Manager for Deep Space Missions.
In 1996, Dr. Sami joined Teledesic, a telecommunications company set up by Craig McCaw and Bill Gates, that offers global broadband services. He held the position of Vice President, Consumer Premises Equipment, responsible for developing the business and supplier relationships. In 2003, Dr. Sami joined Atos Origin followed by Shoaibi Group in Saudi Arabia as Vice President of its Telecom Sector, where he was responsible for the group’s business in the telecommunications field. In 2004, Dr. Sami joined the A.A. Turki Group of Companies (ATCO) Group as Senior Advisor to oversee its telecommunications businesses and projects.
Dr. Sami holds a Ph.D in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California and has attended the Finance for Senior Executives program at Harvard Business School back in 2000. Dr. Sami has published over 40 journal articles, holds 8 patents, and co-authored an advanced textbook on telecommunications.

Mr. Eyas Assaf is the Group Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining wi-tribe, Mr. Eyas held senior management positions in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Ukraine and Jordan, including Senior Accounting Manager of Qtel (Qatar), Manager, Finance and Administration of Banawi Industrial Group (Saudi Arabia), and Financial Controller of SAICO (Ukraine).
Mr. Eyas received his BSc (Accounting) from Yarmouk University in Jordan and his CPA from Illinois, USA.

Mr. Mohab Khattab’s career covers various telecommunications and information technology projects as a business and legal consultant. Prior to joining wi-tribe, Mr. Khattab was Vice President of Business Development and Senior Legal Counsel of A.A. Turki Group of Companies (ATCO). Prior to that, Mr. Khattab also was an Energy transactions and regulatory attorney at the law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in Washington, D.C. Before that, he was an attorney with Saudi Aramco, where he handled corporate, contracting, and technology issues. Before kick starting his career as an attorney, Mr. Khattab managed Saudi Aramco’s North American banking and investment operations, then rose to the position of chief trader, where he supervised the management of the company’s investment and hedging portfolio.
Mr. Khattab has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Southern California, a Master of Business Administration (concentration in Finance) from Georgetown University, a Juris Doctor from The American University – Washington College of Law, and a Master of Laws in Government Procurement from The George Washington University. Mr. Khattab is an active member of the Bar of the District of Columbia and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. He also has authored 14 articles in various publications.
