• 1991: Graduated from University of the Pacific, California , USA, majoring in EE

• 1992: Joined Qtel as Radio Engineer

• 1994: Appointed as GSM Radio Engineer

• 1997: Promoted as GSM Engineering Manager

• 1999: Appointed as GSM Senior Manager

• 2003: Appointed as Senior Manager Wireless Networks, Responsible for all wireless Networks (GSM, 3G, TETRA, Paging, TMR, DVB-H, etc)

• 2006: Selected as GSMAW deputy chair

• 2007: Appointed as Divisional Manager for Wireless Services

• 2008: Selected as Chair for GSMAW

• 2009: Divisional Manager for Networks Development and Evolution within Qtel

Abdulaziz Fakhroo has been actively involved in running and managing all aspects of the GSM&3G related Projects (Launching, Expansions, VAS, Evolutions) since 1993 till date, in addition to TETRA, DVB-H & paging Systems
